To prove Thailand’s involvement with the plant and its multiple therapeutic applications, he went the extra mile and made use of some cannabis oil. After inhaling it, he applied it on the back of his ear. Not only that, but he also stated that he was going to buy some of that product later on.

He mentioned that these kind of substances need to be handled carefully and that they should be affordable so those who have a low income can also afford these treatments.

At that same event, Sukhum Karnchanapimai, the Public Health Ministry permanent secretary, encouraged too the use of medical marijuana, but only if supervised by professionals, as otherwise it could be harmful for the users.

One of the objectives of the Southeast Asian country ever since the new Government came into power has been to develop the medical cannabis industry. “The study and technological development of marijuana, hemp, and other medicinal herbs should be sped up for the medical industry to create economic opportunity and income for the people”, stated a policy document released by the Thai Government.
