American Village to sell land for Medical Marijuana Facilities
The Village of Kalkaska council votes to cell two properties for Medicinal Marijuana
The Village of Kalkaska council, in Michigan USA, has voted to sell two village-owned properties to be used for medical marijuana facilities.
Kalkaska’s president stated that they have several medical marijuana developments in the works and believe this is another opportunity to increase revenue from what he says is a blooming industry.
Kaitlin Patches, a Village of Kalkaska resident stated that she believes this would help the local community with the financial problems that may be facing. “I would look forward to seeing it and I support it completely,” Patches. added.
One of the lots up for sale is off of East Dresden street, while the other is located near the clean water plant and airport.
Shannon Moore, who lives in East Dresden stated that while the initially she was not fond of it, however, she said that “After thinking about it and knowing that it’s been there and we had no idea, it really bothers us a lot less …I think that it could be good for the community if it does bring In more money and more jobs and things like that.”
